Oregon Trail #2 Mountain Men: BEDLAM

Birgit Andersson fears she may never find her place in life. So, the blonde-haired beauty answers an advertisement to become a mail order bride. She travels from Minnesota to the western frontier to marry a mountain man and start anew.
By the time she arrives in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, she discovers she has been widowed before she has a chance to be a bride. With a faithful mutt, named Fritz, at her side, the stubborn Swede ventures forward to the mountain cabin that was to be her home. When her deceased mate’s friends begin showing up, she puts them to work transforming the dingy cabin and mountain clearing into a tiny, working farm.
Just as her dream is about to become reality, a Silvertip grizzly wreaks havoc, followed by a drought and the threat of a fire-breathing storm that could turn the whole place into ash.
“Mountain Man Bedlam: Miss Birgit’s Dilemma” endears the role women played in taming the American frontier. Author Juliette Douglas expertly reprises the harsh burden women shared in bringing civilization to the American wilderness; it’s a role too often forgotten.

Oregon Trail: HELL ON WHEELS

Four frontiersmen, determined to hunt buffalo for their winter stores, had no idea what they were getting themselves into when they rescued wagon train of desperate settlers limping along the rugged Oregon Trail.
James Lavanier, Packy Woods, Micah Cunningham and Johan Svenson not only had to worry about a passel of greenhorns, they had to fight off rampaging Indians, endure intense weather, neutralize a renegade wagon master and calm bickering travelers who didn’t always agree with their decisions. It would be a miracle if they ever made it to their destination, Fort Hall on the Oregon border.
Using her trademark humor and attention to detail, award-winning author Juliette Douglas will entertain you as personalities and lifestyle clash in her newest Western adventure. Grab your copy today!
